We employ a special group of people who love animals and recognize and understand the work that love involves. We are all dedicated to your pets. It is not uncommon to find one of us in the feeding room prepping meals with a four-legged friend from the kennel for company. It is also not uncommon that many of our employees end up adopting dogs who have boarded with us and needed homes. McLovin’, Lori, Gilligan, Odie, Tucker and many others have joined our home families.
We fret over who will make the best friend for another pet and have even been found on the floor hand feeding a dog who is reluctant to eat. Many times we will recognize a pet well before we recognize the owner! And while we can tell you all this here, give us a chance to spoil and fuss over your pet. We promise we will treat your pet as we would our own.
As a child, Kirsten grew up with English Cocker Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, and English Setters. Having been raised at the kennel, it was only natural that Kirsten would take over the reins full-time in 1991. Her strong work ethic, customer service skills and an understanding of pets and their people can be credited to her parents, Joe and Dana. Kirsten has two children, Delaney and Colby. Their other family members are Wall-E & Wicket, both French Bulldog, and Mrs. O’Leary a newfie.
Jules joined us spring of 2009 and is a natural with animals. In the early spring of 2013 she adopted Meadow, a great dane mix. Jules loves to travel and even spent a semester in Australia.
Jules’s care for people and pets is evident every day.
Tara joined us during the spring of 2010. She now mans the Daycare building. She is a native Cape Codder and even spent some time living on Nantucket Island. Tara lives in Eastham with her 10 year old Beagle, Allie, and her 4 year old Labrador/Pointer, Ash. We are thrilled to have her energy and her willingness to do whatever we ask of her! She is great with the customers and their pets.
Animals have always been a huge part of Mary’s life. She has a six year old daughter, Antonia, who is also in love with any kind of four-legged friend! In April 2011 Mary adopted Binya, a boxer/lab rescue. Mary can be found manning the daycare desk. Amazingly talented in graphic arts, Mary’s the one behind our seasonal logo designs.
Born and raised a Cape Codder, Candice started working with us in July of 2012. Always willing to step in and lend a extra hand Candice has become an essential part of the NPS team. She can be found in either boarding or daycare frolicking with all your kids.
Nayara has been with us since 2014. Always willing to help, she can be found in the big yard out front playing with your four legged kids!
Ashley was born and raised on Cape Cod. She has been with us since the fall of 2015 but has several years of experience in the pet care industry. She has two children and too many animal friends to count! She enjoys meeting all your pets needs/wants and loves what she does here at NPS. She is a very valued member of our team!
Our boy Dennis is quite “special”. After the loss of our first mascot, Hugga, the ARL hooked us up with this guy. He’d been on his own since he was a kitten. When he arrived he was about a year and a half. Lord only knows how he survived, because he is the most naive, non-survivalist being that has ever walked though our door. He greets dogs like they are his long lost friends, which confuses the living daylights out of most of them. Come on in and meet him, but be prepared to be ambushed from the foliage in front of the deck!
